M.L. King has won three straight games at home, while Jackson has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as M.L. King Lions take on Jackson Jaguars at 11:00 a.m. M.L. King is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season.
On Friday, M.L. King was able to grind out a solid win over Creekside, taking the game 8-3.

Jordan Ford was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Keontae Banks was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Jackson and Midtown had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Jackson put the hurt on Midtown with a sharp 13-2 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won 12 matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
Charlie Schrope made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Those three hits allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Jackson let Marcus Blash and Seth Geter run wild. Blash scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Geter scored a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Dunn, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Jackson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Midtown only posted an OBP of .346.
M.L. King has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 9.5 hits in those games compared to only 5.29 in the others. Jackson's win bumped their record up to 14-6.
Saturday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. M.L. King has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .563. However, it's not like Jackson struggles in that department as they've averaged .486. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
M.L. King might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Jackson when the teams last played last Wednesday. Will M.L. King have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
