Columbine has gone 9-1 against Bear Creek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Rebels will head out to take on the Bears at 4:00 p.m. Bear Creek took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Columbine, who comes in off a win.
Columbine is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Arvada West, who was ranked 19th at the time (Columbine was ranked fourth). The Rebels walked away with an 8-4 win over the Wildcats on Saturday.

Mason Abraham and Nina Vargas did most of the damage at the plate: Abraham got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two runs, while Vargas went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Abraham has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Keiter, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, Bear Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 14-6 to Valor Christian.
Chianna Morris led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmynn Jimenez, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Columbine's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.2 runs over those games. As for Bear Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.
Everything went Columbine's way against Bear Creek in their previous meeting on September 11th, as Columbine made off with a 14-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
