University is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on The Classical Academy with a sharp 11-1 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won 15 contests in a row.
Jasi Cole made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September.

Meanwhile, Wellington made easy work of Alamosa on Friday and carried off a 14-4 victory.
Like University, Wellington also got a great game from a two-way player: Taylor Morgan. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. Morgan was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Saturday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. University hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .442. However, it's not like Wellington struggles in that department as they've averaged .329. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
University took their win against Wellington when the teams last played back in September of 2023 by a conclusive 13-6 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
