The Upper Dauphin Area Trojans had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.6 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Wednesday. They strolled past Camp Hill with points to spare, taking the game 53-37. Given Upper Dauphin Area's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while the Lions are ranked 537th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Gracie Griffiths, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kasey Weibley, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Upper Dauphin Area is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Camp Hill, they dropped their record down to 4-15 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Upper Dauphin Area and the WolfPack will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matchups. Camp Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
