After a string of five wins, the Fresno Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 49-37 to Roosevelt. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fresno in their matchups with Roosevelt: they've now lost nine in a row.
Roosevelt's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nyleigh Gregory, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Gregory is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last five games she's played. Tatiana Ballinger was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Fresno's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7. As for Roosevelt, their win was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7.
Fresno will head out on the road to square off against McLane at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. McLane will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 949th, while Fresno is ranked 328th). As for Roosevelt, they will be playing at home against Torres at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
