Eaton is a perfect 7-0 against Resurrection Christian since September of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Reds will venture away from home to take on the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. Resurrection Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Eaton, who comes in off a win.
Eaton came out on top against Weld Central on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run third inning. The Reds' pitcher stepped up to hand the Rebels a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Reds, who have now won 16 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Johanna Galvan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Eaton got a massive performance out of Emma Anderson, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most triples Anderson has posted since back in August of 2024. Isabella Ramsey was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Resurrection Christian was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 11-1 to University. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Portia Hattig made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Eaton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Resurrection Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
Eaton took their victory against Resurrection Christian when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Reds since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
