Bedford has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Bishop Carroll Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bishop Carroll took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Bedford, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Bedford humbled the Raiders with a 48-16 victory. The win was just what Bedford needed coming off of a 54-32 loss in their prior contest.
Bedford got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Katie Mcdevitt out in front who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasey Shuke, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Bishop Carroll came up short against the Golden Tigers on Friday and fell 62-53. While losing is never fun, Bishop Carroll can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Golden Tigers are ranked 25th).
Bedford's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14. As for Bishop Carroll, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.
Bedford came up short against the Huskies when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 50-37. Can Bedford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
