Baseball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln fell victim to Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Fightin' Irish. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Mustangs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lincoln saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jerry Hou, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Hou has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

With the loss, Lincoln broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-11. As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-10.

Looking ahead, Lincoln is taking a road trip to square off against The Academy - San Francisco at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, they will venture away from home to take on St. Ignatius College Preparatory at 4:00 p.m. on the 24th.
