If the Saint Joseph Jesters were riding high off their 44-21 takedown of the Mary Star of the Sea Stars last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Saint Joseph was dealt a 62-32 loss at the hands of Crossroads on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Saint Joseph can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 480th, while Crossroads is ranked 184th).
Saint Joseph's loss came despite strong showings from Olivia Molina and Leah Zabukovac. Molina scored six points along with five rebounds, while Zabukovac scored five points along with eight rebounds.
Saint Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Crossroads, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.
Saint Joseph's road trip will continue as they head out to face Geffen Academy at 10:30 a.m. on January 15th. Geffen Academy will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Crossroads, they will take on Crenshaw at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
