After flying high against the Carmel Padres last Saturday, the North Monterey County Condors came back down to earth. North Monterey County took a 38-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Notre Dame. North Monterey County lost against Notre Dame in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 46-35 score last time.
Aveena Ducusin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Notre Dame, scoring 12 points along with three steals and three blocks. Ducusin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Avery Aguilera, who scored nine points.
North Monterey County now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Notre Dame, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Monterey County will take on Pajaro Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pajaro Valley is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Notre Dame, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Gonzales at 7:00 p.m. Gonzales comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
