You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Mission College Prep on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Righetti Warriors out of the water with a 56-23 final score. The Royals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mission College Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Makanani Guy, who posted 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. That's the most steals Guy has posted since back in December of 2023. Mary Marsalek was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Mission College Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in nine consecutive contests.

Mission College Prep's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Righetti, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.

Looking ahead, Mission College Prep will be playing at home against Arroyo Grande at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Righetti, they will head out to challenge St. Joseph at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in St. Joseph's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.
