Basketball Recap: Riverside Prep Extends Winning Streak to Four

Riverside Prep had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They took down the Sultana Sultans 50-34. The game marked the Silver Knights' most dominant win of the season so far.

Riverside Prep was led to victory by Mya Graham and Kayriel Myles. Graham posted 24 points and three steals, while Myles dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Graham has scored at least a third of Riverside Prep's points. Aubrey Duran was another key player, putting up four points and 11 rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Sultana lost, don't look at Ryan Taylor. Despite the final result, she had 12 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Viviana Horta, who put up six points and nine boards.

Riverside Prep now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Sultana, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Riverside Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-40 victory against Academy for Academic Excellence on the 10th. As for Sultana, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-23 defeat against Knight on the 11th.
