Reed-Custer had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Prairie Central Hawks as they made off with a 16-1 win. Considering the Comets have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Brady Tyree was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-2. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Robinson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

Reed-Custer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Reed-Custer's victory bumped their record up to 18-12. As for Prairie Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-23 record this season.

Reed-Custer will head out to challenge Coal City at 4:33 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prairie Central, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-4 win against Dwight on the 17th.
