Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Iona Prep was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 306 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Anthony's only rushed for 211.

Despite the loss, St. Anthony's still got an impressive performance from Gary Merrill, who rushed for 205 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes. That's the most rushing yards Merrill has posted since back in September of 2023. Will Hart was in the mix too, providing St. Anthony's with two touchdowns.
The win (which was Iona Prep's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. As for St. Anthony's, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Iona Prep will face off against Cardinal Hayes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Iona Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 28.6 points per game this season. As for St. Anthony's, they will challenge Xavier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
