Baseball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Prospect's Ninth in Last 12 Outings

There's no place like home for Prospect, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Saratoga Falcons with a sharp 13-3 win on Saturday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Panthers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Prospect let Kyle Pollace and Kevin-Joseph Rieden run wild. Pollace went 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two doubles, while Rieden went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three doubles, and four RBI. That's the most doubles Pollace has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Smith, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Prospect was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Saratoga only posted a batting average of .296.

Prospect has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Saratoga, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prospect will venture away from home to take on Evergreen Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Saratoga, they will face off against MacDonald at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
