There's no place like home for the Purvis Tornadoes, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They took down Columbia 66-52 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Purvis also won the last time the pair played on January 9th.
Jacoby Robinson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Judd Gipson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Purvis' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Columbia, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13.
Purvis will head out on the road to challenge Lawrence County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawrence County has insisted on making their lastfive contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 3-2 during that stretch of close contests. As for Columbia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bay at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
