The Lincoln Lions won the last time they faced the Santa Teresa Saints, and things went their way on Thursday too. Lincoln escaped with a win against Santa Teresa by the margin of a single free throw, 44-43.
Dahlia Daboul and Nevaeh Lacy certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Daboul dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Lacy scored nine points along with six steals. Daboul hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Reynolds, who scored nine points.
Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Santa Teresa, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Lincoln will head out on the road to face off against Pioneer at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pioneer presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lincoln in California (Pioneer is ranked 102nd, while Lincoln is ranked 447th). As for Santa Teresa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Piedmont Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
