Basketball Recap: North Schuylkill Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Tamaqua typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday North Schuylkill proved too difficult a challenge. They secured a 44-39 W over the Tamaqua Blue Raiders. The win was familiar territory for the Spartans who have now won three games in a row.

Tamaqua lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Millie Black, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 boards. Lauren Ligenza was another key player, putting up eight points along with 12 rebounds and three blocks.

North Schuylkill pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Tamaqua, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-5.

North Schuylkill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tamaqua has already played their next matchup (against Williams Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
