The Meyersdale Red Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 69-27 loss at the hands of Berlin Brothersvalley. Meyersdale lost against Berlin Brothersvalley in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 52-39 score last time.
Meyersdale lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jessica Daughton, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Izabella Donaldson, who scored seven points.
Meyersdale now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
Meyersdale will head out on the road to face off against Blacklick Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Blacklick Valley will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Berlin Brothersvalley will be home for the holidays to greet Juniata Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Juniata Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
