Hampton had lost five games at home dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 2-4 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the McDonough Warhawks as they made off with a 15-1 victory. Considering the Hornets' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

As for McDonough, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For McDonough's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylei Buffington, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hampton is set to square off against their familiar foe Locust Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, McDonough will challenge rival Woodland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
