The West Catholic Burrs posted their closest win yet this season on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past St. Hubert Catholic for Girls 42-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Catholic also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
West Catholic was led to victory by Jasmine Butler and Ciana Blake. Butler scored 12 points, while Blake scored 11 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Nyla Coleman, who scored six points.
West Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for St. Hubert Catholic for Girls, they bumped their record down to 7-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
West Catholic will take on Nazareth Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Nazareth Academy is ranked 152nd, while West Catholic is ranked 146th). As for St. Hubert Catholic for Girls, they will head out on the road to take on Cardinal O'Hara at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
