2014-15 record: 27-2
Coming off back-to-back state titles and a No. 17 national ranking last season, Garfield was already returning a dream team of sorts. The top four returning scorers were coming back in
Jaylen Nowell (6-5, Jr., G),
Alphonso Anderson (6-6, Sr., F),
Jashaun Agosto (5-9, Sr., G) and
Terrell Brown (6-1, Sr., G). Then things got even dreamier with the addition of transfers
J'raan Brooks (6-8, So., F) and
Daejon Davis (6-4, Jr., G) – an early University of Washington commit. The Bulldogs are also expecting big things out of freshman
Phillips Fuller (6-3, G).

The Vikings will be led by a pair of Pac-12 commitments in
Sam Cunliffe (6-6, Sr., G) and
Keith Smith (6-7, Sr., G/F). Cunliffe is headed to Arizona State while Smith has given a pledge to Oregon. Sophomore
Kevin Porter (6-4, G/F) is also beginning to garner college attention.

Big expectations were tempered just a bit with the loss of Brooks to Garfield, but what remains on the roster will be tough to handle.
Aaron Nettles (5-11, Jr., G) is an early Seattle University commit, while
Collin Welp (6-9, Jr., F/C) is one of the state's best young big men.

Sure, the Bombers lost some key contributors from last year. Sure, they don't have a lot of size. But they do have
Steven Beo (6-3, Sr., G) and that should carry them a long way. Committed to BYU, Beo averaged 26.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game en route to MaxPreps Junior All-American honors.

The defending 4A state champs will be thinking repeat behind San Diego State commit
Jalen McDaniels (6-9, Sr., F), who led the way with 16 points and eight rebounds in last year's title game. He will get help from
D'jimon Jones (6-1, Sr., G) and
Ferron Flavors (6-2, Sr., G).
