Valhalla's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alexandra Amaya led the charge by scoring 6 points along with 12 rebounds and 4 steals. Amaya has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Alexis Matos was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Valhalla's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Mission Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
Valhalla will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Foothills Christian at 10:00 a.m. As for Mission Bay, they will head out on the road to face off against Segerstrom at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Segerstrom will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
