The Durham Trojans will challenge the East Nicolaus Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
East Nicolaus will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Durham extended their winning streak to three on Friday. Everything went the Trojans' way against Pierce as they made off with a 21-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Durham let Jack Drake and Brevan Ring run wild. Drake went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base, while Ring went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one double. Those two runs gave Ring a new career-high. Ely Martinez was another key player, earning two runs and two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for East Nicolaus, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 13-9 win over Colusa on Friday. With that victory, the Spartans brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Braden Hardwick was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Mikey Robbins, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
East Nicolaus kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 9.2.
East Nicolaus has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Durham, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.
Everything went Durham's way against East Nicolaus in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Durham made off with an 11-1 win. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
