On Monday, West faced Lipscomb Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The West Rebels took a 68-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lipscomb Academy Mustangs. The Rebels' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

West's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Lipscomb Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
