After losing to the Legacy Tigers the last time they met, the Huntington Park Spartans decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Huntington Park walked away with a 33-26 victory over the Tigers on Wednesday.
Huntington Park can attribute much of their success to Juana Vargas, who scored 14 points.
Huntington Park's win bumped their record up to 6-17. As for Legacy, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huntington Park will square off against the Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. South Gate is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home. As for Legacy, they will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bell has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 6.
