The Neville Tigers pushed their score all the way to 56 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 63-56 to Denham Springs. Neville has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Neville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jayson Parker, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Stephon Simmons was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Neville's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Denham Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.
Neville and Wossman will face off at 5:45 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Wossman knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 contests -- so hopefully Neville likes a good challenge. Denham Springs and Episcopal will face off at 5:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
