The team also got some help courtesy of  Derek Taylor, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Even though they lost, Ramona was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .407. That's the best  batting average they've managed all season.
 El Camino's win was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-5. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.5 runs per game. As for Ramona, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Camino will  take on Bonita Vista at 10:30  a.m.  on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Bonita Vista: 3.1, El Camino: 3.6) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for Ramona, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Valley Center at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The last five games Ramona has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
