Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sacred Heart of Jesus to victory, but perhaps none more so than Xitlali Botts, who scored eight points along with six steals. Botts has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Michelle Canete, who scored 11 points.
Sacred Heart of Jesus has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season. As for Pomona Catholic, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
