Softball Recap: Gainesville Wins Going Away Against Tallulah Falls

Gainesville barely beat Tallulah Falls the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Elephants blew past the Indians 21-2 on Monday. Considering the Red Elephants have won seven games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Gainesville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.6 runs over those games. As for Tallulah Falls, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gainesville will welcome Milton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Elephants' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Tallulah Falls, they will challenge Athens Christian at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
