Meanwhile, Lincoln came up short against Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory on Tuesday and fell 5-2. The Mustangs have struggled against the Fightin' Irish recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Wyatt Toloski was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
Balboa's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
Balboa's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's contest. The Buccaneers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Lincoln, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Balboa continue to outrun the ball?
