The Richwood Lumberjacks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Greenbrier West 82-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Richwood has suffered yet this season.
When it comes to explaining why Richwood lost, one person who can't be blamed is Trae Trivolette. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that Trivolette scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalton Spencer, who scored ten points.
Richwood bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Greenbrier West, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Richwood will look to defend their home court on Monday against Bath County at 7:30 p.m. Bath County will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Greenbrier West will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Midland Trail at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
