New Castle lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mason Miller, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. The match was Miller's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tucker Griffin, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
It was another big night for Cedric Horton, who scored 23 points for Richmond. The game was Horton's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Mason Carpenter was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
This is the second loss in a row for New Castle and nudges their season record down to 4-7. As for Richmond, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
New Castle will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Connersville at 7:30 p.m. Connersville is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Richmond, they will head out on the road to face off against McCutcheon at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. McCutcheon is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
