The Cornerstone Christian Cougars stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They really took it to Holy Names for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-11 victory on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Cornerstone Christian has managed all season.
Leading Cornerstone Christian to victory were Kaylie Bertand and Pamela-Joyce Allen. Bertand scored 19 points along with four steals, while Allen scored 18 points along with eight steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mecca Alexander, who scored ten points.
Cornerstone Christian's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Holy Names, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Cornerstone Christian will square off against Rocklin at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Holy Names, they will head out on the road to face off against Fremont Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
