The Live Oak Acorns lost against the Ann Sobrato Bulldogs back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Live Oak took a 56-37 bruising from the Bulldogs. Live Oak has struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as their contest on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Live Oak lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isabelle Cline, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Kathliyah Clement, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Brianna Bouton continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ann Sobrato, scoring 25 points along with three steals. Bouton is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Emiliana Bejarano, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Live Oak's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Ann Sobrato, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.
Live Oak will head out on the road to take on the Mustangs at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gilroy has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 6. As for Ann Sobrato, they will play host again and welcome the Cougars, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Evergreen Valley is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
