The Ridgeview Wolf Pack on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Independence Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th.
Ridgeview suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 67-31 defeat at the hands of Bakersfield Christian. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ridgeview in their matchups with Bakersfield Christian: they've now lost eight in a row.
Meanwhile, Independence entered their tilt with Bakersfield with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Independence managed a 60-54 win over Bakersfield on Friday.
Independence relied on the efforts of Ka'Rayah Robertson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 19 rebounds, and Kaylynn Bolden, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. Bolden hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Josslyn Escobar, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Ridgeview now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Independence, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.
Ridgeview didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Independence in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 46-42 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Independence's Libby Clear, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds. Now that she won't be playing on Wednesday, will it be that much easier for Ridgeview to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
