The Gibbon Buffaloes will be home for the holidays to greet Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gibbon is out to stop a ten-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Gibbon scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Harvard by a score of 34-24. That 34-24 margin sets a new team best for Gibbon this season.
Gibbon's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Carla Murillo-Corona, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds, and Brooke Sell, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Murillo-Corona has scored at least 25% of Gibbon's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cove Fries, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-23, which was the final score in Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s tilt against Loomis on Tuesday.
Gibbon's win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-6.
