The Righetti Warriors will challenge the St. Joseph Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Righetti is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Righetti turned things around against Lompoc on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Braves with a sharp 16-3 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Gabriel Rodriguez looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Righetti got a massive performance out of Kamron Walker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Walker has become a key player for the Warriors: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Roberts, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Righetti always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph beat Morro Bay 8-4 on Wednesday.
Mason Majewski was excellent, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Ashton Bluem was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one double.
Righetti's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-5. As for St. Joseph, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1-1.
Righetti's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Warriors have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for St. Joseph, though, as they've been averaging only 0.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Righetti continue to outrun the ball?
Righetti skirted past St. Joseph 7-6 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
