They were two  runs away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Walnut Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season,  with their most recent  defeat being a  5-0  loss  on Thursday.
Diamond Bar got a good showing from  Quinton Mendoza, who   pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. That's the fewest  hits  Mendoza has allowed since back in March.
 At the plate,  Dominic Tortorelli was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with one  triple and one  RBI.
Diamond Bar's defeat dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Walnut, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-13.
