Mill Valley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Blue Valley Tigers by a score of 35-26 on Friday. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Blake Jay was his usual excellent self, rushing for 282 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 59 yards. Max Piva was another key player, rushing for 119 yards and a pair of scores.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Mill Valley proved: they limited Blue Valley to a paltry one yards per carry. While two picked up at least eight total tackles, Larry Jones stood above the rest. He picked up four sacks, made eight total tackles (6.0 for loss), and defended one pass. Mill Valley didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.7.

Mill Valley's record now sits at 7-2. As for Blue Valley, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, Mill Valley will face off against Saint Thomas Aquinas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Saints' defense has only allowed 13.2 points per game this season, so the Jaguars' offense will have their work cut out for them. Blue Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
