The Cupertino Pioneers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Mountain View at home and fell 58-26. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cupertino in their matchups with Mountain View: they've now lost five in a row.
Alana Hernandez continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mountain View, scoring 19 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikayla Kim, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Cupertino bumped their record down to 1-13 with that defeat, which was their 16th straight at home. As for Mountain View, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Saratoga the next time they take the court. Cupertino will head out to face Saratoga at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Mountain View will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
