 On the hitting side,  Nate Johnson was a standout: he scored a  run while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.  Kaden Youmans was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Westlake pushed their record up to 11-2 with that  win, which was their tenth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Thousand Oaks, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record  this season.
