The Kennedy Fighting Irish will venture away from home to challenge the Woodbridge Warriors at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Kennedy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Woodbridge's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Kennedy was handed a 11-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over St. Paul.

02/22/25 vs South East | 9 |
Anthony Hernandez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Kennedy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Travis Bergmann, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base marked the first that Bergmann snagged this season.
Meanwhile, Woodbridge got the win against Flintridge Prep on Saturday by a conclusive 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won three matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Vincent DeMarco was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. DeMarco was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Nevan Namgoong was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Caleb Camacho was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Woodbridge hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Flintridge Prep struck out ten times.
Woodbridge is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. Kennedy's record is now 5-2.
