The Oxford Hornets lost against the Bayard Rustin Golden Knights two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Oxford fell 47-38 to the Golden Knights. While losing is never fun, Oxford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Golden Knights are ranked 65th).
Bayard Rustin found their leader in underclassman Jenna Kraft, who scored 13 points along with six assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kraft has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Riley Stackhouse, who scored six points along with eight steals.
Oxford has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Bayard Rustin, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-5.
Oxford will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hillers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bayard Rustin, they will head out on the road to challenge the Bucks at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Central Bucks West is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
