Football Recap: Cimarron Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Lakin came into Friday's game looking for another win against Cimarron, but McCoy Nash wouldn't allow it. The Bluejays put the hurt on the Broncs with a sharp 31-7 win on Friday thanks in part to Nash, who rushed for 247 yards and three scores while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 122 rushing yards per game.

Cimarron didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Christian Kennedy.

Cimarron's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2. As for Lakin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Cimarron will face off against Larned at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lakin, they are taking a road trip to face off against Southwestern Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
