The Fontainebleau Bulldogs had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They managed a 53-48 win over Hammond. That's another feather in the cap for Fontainebleau, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Tornadoes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Justin Harland, who scored 17 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Armstrong, who scored ten points.
Fontainebleau's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Hammond, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fontainebleau will challenge Covington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hammond, they will head out on the road to take on Pine at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
