On Thursday, the Hill School Rams faced the Germantown Academy Patriots in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Hill School fell 54-43 to the Patriots. Hill School has struggled against the Patriots recently, as their game on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kayleigh Ludwig, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Sammie Faella, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Hill School struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Hill School's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Germantown Academy, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-4.
Hill School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Germantown Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Bears at 4:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Baldwin is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
