Greensburg Salem's recent rough patch got a bit rougher after their third straight defeat. They took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Highlands. That's two games in a row now that Greensburg Salem has lost by exactly ten points.
Kaitlyn Mankins put forth a good effort for the losing side as she almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 44.4% of Greensburg Salem's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ashlan Price, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, the third road match was the charm for Freeport, as they earned their first road win of the season. They had just enough and edged Derry out 43-41.
Greensburg Salem has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-7 record this season. As for Freeport, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.
