The win was all the more spectacular given San Dimas' disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 136th in California, while East Hickman County is ranked 39th in Tennessee).
Priscilla Romero was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 18 points along with eight assists and seven steals. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Janessa Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
San Dimas' win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for East Hickman County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.
San Dimas will look to defend their home court on January 8th against Diamond Ranch at 5:00 p.m. Diamond Ranch is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for East Hickman County, they will challenge Cheatham County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cheatham County Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
