They came out on top against Lake Lure Classical Academy by a score of 72-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Lake Lure Classical Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Da'Zirus Watkins. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with six assists and three steals. Watkins is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Justin Barker, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Lake Lure Classical Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Veritas Christian Academy pushed their record up to 11-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.5 points per game. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.
